Scale Exercise

The following links will take you to your instrument’s scale exercise that you will be learning in your first year of playing.

Remember, band instruments transpose! Below, I have indicated which major scale each instrument will play. When performed all together, the band will be playing in unison.

B-flat Major: Flute, Oboe, Mallets, Bassoon, Trombone, Euphonium/Baritone, Tuba
C Major: Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Tenor Saxophone, Trumpet
G Major: Alto Saxophone, Baritone Saxophone
F Major: Horn

Clarinet Scale – Clarinet in Bb

Bass Clarinet Scale – Bass Clarinet

Alto Sax Scale – Alto Sax

Tenor Sax Scale – Tenor Sax
